15 May November 2023: Codub delivers Corporate Workshop titled “Overview of Facilities and Asset Management”
November 2023
Codub in collaboration with Brunel University, London and Building Services Research and Information Association (BSRIA), UK, successfully delivered a comprehensive ten-day training workshop titled “Overview of Facilities and Asset Management in a Corporate Environment.”
Developed specifically for the NNPC Exploration and Production Limited (NEPL) employees based in Benin, Nigeria, this training workshop aimed to equip participants with the latest principles and practices in Facilities and Asset Management.
The workshop, delivered by experts in their respective domains, provided a fine balance of theoretical coursework and practical applications. Participants engaged in classroom-based training sessions with hands-on exercises, gaining insights into various aspects of corporate facilities including security, mechanical and electrical engineering, building fabrics, landscaping, reception, cleaning/pest control, waste and environmental management, space planning, health & safety, and the use of computerised maintenance solutions like CMMS/CAFM.
An experiential visit to the BSRIA Test Centre in Bracknell further enriched the learning experience, allowing participants to deepen their understanding of corporate facilities management. BSRIA Test is the UK’s leading independent laboratory for testing, validation and performance of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products and systems. As a UKAS (1053) accredited laboratory to ISO 17025 with over 60 years’ experience, BSRIA offers standard testing to BS, EN and ISO for UKCA and CE marking for compliance with local schemes and global markets.
“The program offered the latest thinking in Facilities & Asset Management, focusing on the right balance between cost, performance, and risk,” said Enitan Kane, Executive Director at Codub Consulting Limited. “We addressed specific issues encountered by NEPL on the ground and applied industry best practices to provide real solutions.”
Participants were equipped with the knowledge to recognise factors influencing cost implications throughout the property life cycle. They also gained insights into considering liabilities and legal issues while applying the techniques learned to improve workplace productivity, sustainability, communication, and NEPL’s overall competitive strategy.
In CODUB’s spirit of talking, listening and sharing, we look forward to facilitating future training sessions with the NNPC Group.
