At Codub Consulting Ltd, we support charities, non-profits and community organisations to generate evidence that strengthens impact, amplifies voice, and informs strategic decision-making. Our research and evaluation services are designed specifically for the third sector, where meaningful insight can drive better outcomes for communities, funders and stakeholders.
We understand the unique opportunities and constraints faced by third sector organisations, from limited resources to high accountability demands, and we help you use research and evaluation to demonstrate value, enhance learning, and influence change.
We work with your team to understand your organisation’s priorities, community context and strategic goals. This provides the foundation for research or evaluation that is relevant, proportionate and outcomes focused.
Whether you need surveys, interviews, focus groups or mixed-method studies, we design research plans that are ethical, effective and tailored to your target group. We select appropriate methodologies to answer your key questions with confidence.
We help you articulate clear outcomes, indicators and measures so that your activities are linked to observable impact. Our evaluation frameworks are practical, understandable and useful for reporting to funders and communities alike.
From scoping and specification to tendering and contractor oversight, we guide you through commissioning external research or evaluation and managing suppliers to deliver results that meet your expectations.
We collect and analyse data using robust methods and provide clear interpretation in line with best practice. We help you understand what the evidence means — not just what the numbers are.
Your evidence is only as valuable as your ability to use it. We support you to communicate findings through compelling reports, briefs, presentations and learning summaries for stakeholders, boards, partners and funders.
We provide bespoke training (e.g. in evaluation planning, commissioned research management and results interpretation) so your team builds capability that lasts beyond any single project.
Organisations in the third sector operate in a landscape where impact and accountability are increasingly expected by funders, partners, policymakers, and the communities served. Strong research and evaluation help you:
Codub Consulting was commissioned to independently evaluate the Soro Soke oral history project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and delivered by the Over 50s Black Men Forum (O5BM). Our evaluation examined project design, interview quality, archival practice, community impact and legacy potential, thereby demonstrating how culturally grounded heritage work can deliver meaningful outcomes for participants and audiences alike. The evaluation helped inform future practice and strengthened the project’s credibility with funders and partners.

Codub Consulting also conducted the A Father’s Day Baseline Survey for the Over 50s Black Men Forum in 2025. This research gathered lived experience data on health, wellbeing, social connection and community participation among older Black men in Essex. The survey provided foundational insight into the priorities, challenges and aspirations of this often-underrepresented group, creating a baseline for future programme development, impact monitoring and stakeholder engagement.
